I saw a description of what would happen to London if all the people were suddenly removed and it was just left to decay. First to go would be the Canary Wharf tower which wouldn't survive 20 years without all the regular painting and replacing of panels that goes on. After about 500 years, the only thing left standing in London would be St Paul's, which would probably look much the same as it does now.

He wasn't wrong then! Are there any other buildings that could survive nearly 1000 years?
