As a member of the anime and manga shack, I just wanted to mention this myth from the Japanese anime / manga "Fruits Basket".
It was said that all of the animals were invited to a banquet. The mouse, however, told the cat the wrong day, so he slept late.
The other animals rushed to the banquet, the mouse riding the ox jumped off so that he was the first to arrive.
The zodiac was named after the order the animals arrived in, but there is no year of the cat because the cat missed the banquet.
