A Conversation for Driving Etiquette - Ireland
Driving in Ireland

Nobody warned me about Ireland. They said it was a lovely place and that the Irish were very friendly, but, they didn't warn me about the driving practices there.
We travelled from Birmingham (me and my 2 month old son) in my mustard colored Renault 5, trundling along happily, singing nursery rhymes - got on the ferry - then proceeded up the road, which I thought was an A road, not a highway. Then suddenly, on a one lane road, with traffic coming in the opposite direction, no indicating, a guy passed me. It was only after 2 or 3 of these manouvres did I realize, this is how you pass in Ireland.

I forgot to mention......
It occurred to me that the driving in Ireland is much like driving in Massachusetts.
