After you've managed to adapt to driving on the right, do take care to revert to the left when you return. It will seem perfectly natural to set off on the right on a quiet road, especially if you park on the right-hand side. So don't! I've done this but realized my error before meeting any other traffic.
In New Zealand (according to my mate Jim) it is an offence to park facing the oncoming traffic at any time, not just after dark like here.
I reckon it would save a few confrontations and accidents if we adopted that rule.
