Hi I've just been surfing and am unsure of whether or not your up for some additional info.
Slurpees are found across North America but the highest consumption of Slurpees per capita is currently in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
This is very odd because being in Canada and above the 49th parallel it has roughly 4-5 months of warmish weather.
The rest is Winter and averages well below freezing. This rather defeats the cooling purpose of the Slurpee. Of course Slurpees are a marginally safer bet than the natural alternative of yellow snow.
Slurpee is actually a brand name used by 7-11 to identify its particular form of frozen/liquid drink.
Many other convenience stores have similar drinks like the Slushie, Slush puppy, and the infamous Squishy found at Kwiky Mart.
cheers
