The music of Portishead is haunting, eerie, atmospheric. Those who love it /really/ love it...the sheer intensity and weirdness of the vocals and arrangements is almost scary.
To me listening to Portishead is like waking up abandoned and amnesiac in a foreign hotel..with a hangover and unexplainable bruises..yes, I'm a fan!
