A Conversation for Auroras - Polar Lights
I've seen them!

I've *always* wanted to see them, and finally did last week.
We were flying back from Canada to London over Greenland and Iceland and we saw the aurora out of the window of the plane window. We had to hold a blanket up to the window to make it clearer, then it became really colourful and easy to see.
Fantastic!

(Pure envy here.)
Sometimes they are visible even in central europe, but every time the sky is extremely cloudy.

About ten years ago, I saw a beautiful evening sky in Lancashire, it was the colours of the rainbow shaped like a huge fan, someone mentioned a pearl sky, an apt description, I still have the lovely photographs.
