An absolute class act when it comes to songwriters. Hopefully another John Peel session will be forthcoming soon!

Sir John Peel I believe is appropriate, by the way, since he has done more to expand my CD collection than anyone else. And he's an all round top bloke.

Cheers!

I'm a recent(3 years) fan of Loudon. Can't believe I have gone my 3 score years without discovering the man.I tend to favour his bitter sweet songs. I absolutely love OGM, it's very original lyric wise, and has such a delicate guitar to complement the words. My other favourite(I mean ONE of my other favourite)songs is 'Donations'. It is only 2 mins. long, but lyrically crams more into that 2 mins. than song 2 or 3 times the length...I don't think that there is one wasted word in the whole lyric.

I must admit that some of his earlier efforts leave me cold, especially Mike Harding's favourite 'Red Guitar'Perhaps I am not making enough allowances for the age when it was written.
