One of my favorite films is "All That Bach", a documentary of the Canadian celebration of Bach's 300th birthday in 1985:

Performances included jazz, classical, ballet, Canadian Brass ... and a tap routine by the "Royal Canadian Tap Troupe" (or something like that). Four men and four women formally dressed and doing a very formal routine, until they start dancing with the chairs.
