Absence

When you're around my days are bright

When you're away they're dark as night

So is it true, I sometimes wonder

That absence makes the heart grow fonder?

Still, if I were to have a choice

I'd much prefer to hear your voice,

Be close to you and hug and kiss,

Because that is what I call bliss.

Alas, it is not meant to be-

Both of us wed and hence not free.

Can't follow our hearts' desire,

The situation's truly dire.

I miss you more than I can say,

I hope that there will come the day

When we're united as should be,

Because I know you're meant for me.
