I just thought it might be worth mentioning that there is more than one format of high school quizbowl tournament and that a lot of teams participate in multiple formats. Don't know if that fits in.

Yes, this is true. NAL and NAQT, for one - my league plays NAL rules, but we got invited to a scrimmage by a team in another league who played NAQT - we find out in the middle of our game that JV can't ask for prompts, and if you've played on JV already you can't play on varsity in the same match. Completely screwed up our coach's planning. Definitely worth pointing out.
(Now that the entry is Edited we can't actually add anything short of a major overhaul, but all this information in conversations becomes part of the entry, as it were.)

Also it might be worth mentioning Panasonic, though that is at the state, not school, level. And that many regions have local TV shows with their own formats.
I've never heard of NAL by name, though I think I've heard it described before by someone.

When my parents were kids they each played a completely different version too. I'm thinking about writing some more entries about different question formats; I'll have to see if I ever get any time.
