Battle of New Orleans - a Nitpick

Good article, now I'm ready for "Jeopardy!", or at least one category.
You mention General Jackson in the Battle of New Orleans, and a song by that title has been stuck in my head for decades. A hit for Johnny Horton, it mentions "Colonel" Jackson:

So maybe this battle got him promoted?

One other small but important point;
"The most important American victory in the war was the Battle of New Orleans, in which US troops under General Andrew Jackson captured New Orleans and suffered far fewer casualties than the British."
Actually Jackson DEFENDED the city, the British were attacking, and failed to capture their objective.
If it makes you feel any better consider this a "PROD"
