At the end of the last sentence in the first paragraph, it should be 'conferences and country fairs.'
Also what are 'JCB diggers'? As an American, I don't understand this acronym.

Cool beans. Thanks for the footnote, Crusader. I feel enlightened, but in a rugged, dirt-hauling way.

Thanks Crusader - As the author (and as a sub-editor) I should have got this right myself!

Hello
Here's some pedantry for you...
You've written that the car parks are too far away to rule out eating there. I think that's the opposite of what you meant.
That looks ever so harsh just written down like that: please imagine me saying it with the cheery, by-the-way, intonation of somebody trying to help without looking like a finickity twit.

The best way to contact the author is to click the Researcher name on the entry. Unfortunately, I have no idea about the location of the car park
Thanks though

Hello
I'm new to this so please bear with me...
I tried to to you but sent a message to completely the wrong person. Please see posting #5 on this conversation for the message that I should have sent to you.
There. I did it.

Hi, Moadib - thanks for the comment! I don't mind pedantry at all, at least it means that someone has read the article!
Not sure that I quite follow your drift, though. I meant to get the message across that there is no point going to the show then returning to your car for lunch. The car parks are too far away from the showground to make this worthwhile.
If you come up with suitable alternative wording I would be happy to give some thought to getting it changed. Of course, having given it thought I might not do anything further!
I'm off now to re-read the article, in particular the offending bit.

Hi again Moadib - I've just re-read the article and Whoops! I see what you mean. Careless of me, I will arrange for it to be changed.
Many thanks
