h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

New member wants to pick the brains of present house owners in the district. We are looking to buy a very small town/village house can be in need of some restoration work but not complete overhaul.
Would like a small terrace or balcony to eat outside, no need for garden, garage - one bedroom with lounge area large enough to facilitate pull down sofa for any guests.
Have tried all the local UK contacts but prefer to deal direct.
We dont ski, or walk so not looking too far in the heights!
Prefer to be nearer to Lucca than further away.
Any tips?
