Barga is only a gate to Garfagnana, if you're really interested in the area, cruise more to the North. There are hundreds of places worth to visit such as Castelnouvo, Borgo a Mozzano, Gorfigliano, Lago di Vagli just to name a few... And if you're into trekking, don't miss climbing up to Pisanino...
