This is a fantastic local pub on Woodlands Rd of Glasgows westend.
Unlike many other pubs in the area is is long established and has
not given in to the modern consumerism. It retains its original decor
of comfy leather seats and salvaged antique knick knacks, notably the
numerous stuffed animal heads. Its cliental consists of local and
nearby student residents during the week with more students on the
busiest fridays and saturdays. The atmosphere is warm and friendly
and the bar staff are fresh (Male bartenders wear Kilts as routine.)
The only problem is the beer selection has gone downhill in the past
year with fewer real ales and more poncy lagers- but hey it all tastes
the same after ten pints! This researcher will be making more trips to
different Glasgow pubs (in the name of research) so watch out for more!)
