Really well written and objective. Just a suggestion for an added link - schnews.org.uk have a link to a guide for putting on your own free party. It's pretty up-to-date and has lots of useful tips. Haven't tried it yet, though!

Well done for looking at a really under-examined subculture. When you think how wound up the press got at the height of the party years, and the anger behind the "kill the bill" movement, it's odd that most people seem to have lost interest.

Free parties are still alive and well, all the more so as clubbers reject the sterile environments they are forced to party in.
