A Conversation for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
Sunrise alarm clocks
Teasswill Started conversation Nov 11, 2002
I wouldn't describe them as SAD sufferers, but both my sons have difficulty getting up on dark Winter mornings - well who doesn't? Anyway, they use sunrise alarm clocks which light up gradually, the idea being that the light stimulates the relevant chemical in the brain to wake them up before the sound does. Definitely seems to help.
