If I was being really picky, I'd tell you that the phrase used at Wimbledon is 'Ladies and gentlemen, play is suspended', but I'm not, so I won't.

It is a bit wrong for a direct quotation though, so it best be this:
'Believe me, my young friend, there is (italicise)nothing(italicise) — absolute nothing — half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.'
