h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Having been ‘out of the house’ for some years, and as the author of the original article in 2000 under the title of ‘Comets as Harbingers of Momentous Events’, I feel somewhat aggrieved on my return to find that it has been updated with this new title - and it’s missed a major point. A major reason for entitling it as ‘momentous events’ is that I included the theory that a comet may well have been the ‘Star of Bethlehem’. This has come out as the favoured theory in a 2013 BBC documentary, ‘The Star of Bethlehem: A Sky at Night Special’ , screened again this evening , but is totally missing from this updated Entry!

I looked into the history of this Entry, and it has been a strange one indeed... In particular I found F47997?thread=5681479 and F47997?thread=5690342 which show that the Entry was updated to match all your requirements in 2008. It is very strange that absolutely all the updates were somehow undone in 2013...

I will investigate further and see how we can sort this out for you

Yes, I looked briefly into it as well, and I think my Entry may have been an update (or a complementary one) to one beeline had written, because I sent him a message to ask if he would be willing for the two Entries to be combined. However, it would appear that ‘he’didn’t respond to this 🤔.
