Concerned readers, we must not forget about the landmines which are a continuing scourge upon the face of this continent.
OK my sources are not 100% accurate, but this is what I heard:
That the floods in Moz destroyed many older landmines (a blessing in disguise);
That the floods in Moz caused newer landmines, often in plastic casings, to float and be deposited elsewhere under metres of mud (not a blessing at all).
