If you are a UK tax payer who falls under the "Self Assesment" scheme, you can now file your taxes online and are entitled to a rebate.
see http://www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk
This is because such a filing costs less to process, so you don't need to feel guilty whilst spending your rebate

Except for the small fact that the Inland Revenues system keeps falling over.
I've had four go's at registering in the last few weeks none of them successful.
Oh well back to ink on paper

I got an automatic email telling me that my user id and password are in the post - I hope they hurry up or I'll just have to fine the revenue £100 a month and see how they like it
