blue is a common colour for lemonade flavoured things. slushees being the one that springs immediately to mind.
i was once waiting at the counter of one of the usual franchises and a mother of a small child asked what flavour the blue slushee was. the teenage girl behind the counter replied, quite seriously, "It's blue flavour".
