Rubbish? Contrasted to, say, Donald Sutherland or Rutger Hauer? Or Luke Perry? I think you'll find they were all aiming for a particular standard of "high camp", and failing spectacularly.
No disrespect to Tony Head, but it'd have been cool if they could have afforded to keep Donald Sutherland as the watcher in the TV show... They could have got Keifer to play "Wesley"...

No way! Kiefer could never had pulled off that character. (no puns now)
As for having Donald Sutherland, no thanks. That guy creeps me out. The humour would have been wasted on him too.

I think you'll find that Donald Sutherland's one of the few American actors of his generation who *can* play irony convincingly... (ref: M*A*S*H)

Never liked that show much. I just find him really disturbing. If that`s what he was going for, then fair play to him. "Catholic Boys " was a great film but i didn`t even like him in that. Can`t help the way i feel i`m afraid.

Don't know if this entry can still be edited but there is a rather major typo in here which implies Buffy was an addict!
Under the character profiles 'Buffy was always the reluctant heroin'
