With traffic usually atrocious on the M60, it is usualy easier (if heading westbound) to come off at junction 13 (Worsley) and follow Worsley road through Patricroft and onto Barton Road. As soon as you reach the swing bridge you're basically there, and cut a large wodge of time stuck in queues.

I always go by bus.. I get one straight from my house. it takes ~ages~ though... but one doesn't'have to queue...

Really I'm close enough to the place to cycle there. It's just laziness and not very good if you plan to do a lot of shopping.

Our family not running a car I have to pack all my purchases into carriers and carry them all the way to the bus station... I live a little far for a taxi...

Please dont tell everyone about this shortcut, I live between worsley and patricroft and am sick to death of bloody shoppers making the roads around my home busier and less safe, use the bloody motorway thats what they are there for!
