A Conversation for The Trafford Centre, Greater Manchester, UK
Traffic, location and hot sunny days....
Slick Started conversation May 29, 2000
Aside from the fact that during weekends, bank holidays and any other reason to bundle the kids in a car and drag them off somewhere for 7 hours the Trafford Centre is often surrounded by a 50,000 space car park known as the M60 motorway, it is also worth noting this:
The Trafford Centre is built less than half a mile from one of Europes largest Water Treatment works (a nice way of saying sewage farm). This means that when you are sitting on the high-level bridge over the canal (on the afore mentioned M60), looking at the Trafford Centre... whilst wondering how many hours you are going to be trapped trying to get in and find a space to park... you are sitting in a hot, stuffy car of whining children/partner/parents and you are at ground zero for the areas most "distinctive" smell... especially in the summer
