Yate(n.)
Dishearteningly white piece of bread which sits lumpily in a pop up toaster during a protracted throcking session
Yate is a lesser known town in South Gloucestershire, probably because it isn't terribly exciting. Some people may find it to their taste, however. The shopping center claims to have over 100 shops in it, most tending to be phone shops and card shops. It also contains fast food restaurants, cloathing retailers, charity shops, all purpose shops, toy stores, a purfume store, bakers, banks, a library, a large leisure center, ect.
In the center is a large cafe, which was built over a once nice large covered platform, where childrens perfomers would perform on weekends, a large tree would be placed during the festive season, a charming center clock and a nice shorcut to shops on the other side. In Yate Shopping Center there was once a book shop, but there are longer any bookshops within the area since rental prices shot up.
There are also a number of parks dotted around, some of which containing duckponds and rivers, all pleasent to walk through unless there is a loud annoying group of teens playing football, which there usually is.
The people of Yate aren't all friendly. A large number of teenagers are chavs and a fair amount are goths and emos. The others can be generally nice people or just a bit odd in the head.
There are some famous people who have lived in Yate, the most famous being J.K Rowling, who was born there. Famous graffiti artist Bansky originated from here and actor Alen Medcroft lived in Yate during his early life and still lives nearby.
Despite all of this information, Yate hasn't got any tourist value, except maybe a nearby Roman Fort, which is a large grassy area. There are other historical sites around, but arn't really worth mentioning.
