There's a big gap here where there should be some examples of companies selling Linux distros. Why were they squashed?

I was surprised to find no mention of the 'big' distros like Mandrake, RedHat and SlackWare, or projects like Linux From Scratch (LFS).
I understand that the guide doesn't link to companies but these people offer their product for free :o)
In the mean time, you can download almost all of the distributions at ftp://mirror.ac.uk (Note to the moderator, this is a *free* mirror of FTP sites maintained by Ja.net the university backbone.)
On a cable connection it takes about 3 hours per disc, Mandrake 8.2 is 2 discs.
