h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I am an american and I play lacrosse, so I know more about it then most of you brits probably do. First, I would like to note that if you see someone whose lacrosse SHAFT is made out of WOOD, make sure that they DON'T hit you NO MATTER WHAT! wooden shafts may not seem like they would hurt as much as metal, but they are solid, as aposed to being about a millimeter thick and hollow. Also, In proffessional lax (lacrosse) there is a line 16 yards away from the crease. Scoring from behind it is 2 points. Also, never hit ANYONE in the head. Ecspecially if you are the goalie. Disregard this, of course, if the ref isn't looking. In high school and college lax, you can have a middie with a longstick. anyone can go anywhere on the field, but there must always be 3 people on the offensive side and 4 on the deffensive side for each team at all times. If you don't have seven people on the field, you are playing in California and your whole team is intent on fouling out of the game (which can't be done, by the way(but you can get thrown out by the ref and possably suspended for multiple games))
