A Conversation for School Photo Day

Weird things...

I ignored all rules... Always have. I used to hide my non-regulation jewelry before the shot, then put it one before anyone had any time to confiscate it... Strangely, my Mum is a teacher, and someone nicked my yr 11 school photo from her desk. Sorry. smiley - bubbly is affecting me...

It seems that everyone has their own special way to mess up the school photo - I had no idea the practise was so widespread - I guess I must have been a good girl.smiley - angel

How curious that your school photo was so good it was stolen - that'd be a worry.smiley - erm

It was awful - that's the weridest thing - I would have understood a nice photo being nicked.... I felt that the heavy eyeliner and non-uniform were an improvement, however. You must have been very well behaved at school.

I guess I must have been a bore at school - but hey - I'm a bore nowadays so why would I change the habit of a lifetime.smiley - laugh

I like the rules and always try to abide by them .... when possible.smiley - whistle

Did they ever find the culprit .... or the photo again.smiley - erm

No. I suspect it was taken by someone who wanted to get revenge and attempted some sort of image magic wwith it, but I normally leap to that kind of conclusion on very little provocation... I think it's better to have a rep of being fairly good, then you can get away with murder... In the words of Bart Simpson, 'nobody suspects the butterfly'. smiley - winkeye

Well, what you say is also true - as I'm trying to explain to my daughter at the moment.smiley - laugh

She's having trouble with some girls at school - but I've told her to go ahead and threaten them - no-one will ever believe she did it, or if she thumps one of them no-one will ever believe she started it.smiley - rofl

smiley - ok that is the plan - a good reputation from two or three years of law abiding, hard work is worth at least two years of complete civil disobedience.

Yes, but she hasn't got that evil streak in her ..... yet.smiley - evilgrin

She's a stickler for the rules and would just be toooooo upset if she was to get into trouble at school or anywhere.smiley - angel

She'll learn though.smiley - winkeye

They always do... smiley - evilgrin I believe it's called adolescene.

The right way of being very evil generally results in hardly any trouble, though... I only ever had three teachers at school on my case, with most of the others both me and my mates could get away with murder. I don't beleive I gave a single piece of physics work in in year 11, and spent most of the lesson drawing on other people's books.
(I hated physics) I never got people who were really disruptive for the simple sake of being disruptive, though - great way to get a bad reference!

I suspect your daughter can perfect a smile of wounded inooncence, which always comes in handy... smiley - winkeye A learning difficulty helps, too. Not, of course, that I would misuse something like that smiley - angel

Yes .... and it's a bit like living with Kevin of Kevin and Perry fame at the moment.smiley - rolleyes

Still, I believe kids grow out of that eventually. I'd like her to be a bit more assertive out of the house though .... if she just gave half that attitude to the girls in school I'm sure she'd have no trouble.smiley - winkeye

smiley - laugh I'm sure that she will, sooner or later. I like that it's 'assertive' when you do it socially, 'stressy' when you do it at home and a disciplinary if you do it at work...
