- Make your own tortilla chips, using a bag of corn tortillas, about 100 round ~6" for $1.50. Slice and bake @ 375F for about 13 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 big bags of chips, commercial chips are several dollars a bag.
- Route the rain downspout into a barrel, use for watering plants or flushing the toilet (also save the "warmup" shower water in a bucket).
- Cook your own food and make your own coffee. For the price of a Starbucks, I can drink coffee for weeks.
