no rules?

No rules, yes I have observed that tendency in you people. I have also observed that it seems like any psycho off the curb can pick up and learn to "intercept" with his fists... No I think that the best martial art is one where you learn not to "intercept" people into a hospital.

Well, of course "no rules" does not mean no ethical rules. It does not mean to beat someone up because he looked just a little too long at you or something... No, it just means that you are not bound by the rules of traditional martial arts schools. In Jeet Kune Do you can kick to the head as well as to the knees. And not just because you can hurt somebody with such a technique but because it is possible to do so. Bruce Lee wanted to test the borders of the possibilities of the human body...

Oh, by the way I learn a form of martial arts called APG myself which is partly based on Jeet Kune Do. I started six years ago and I certainly "intercepted" no one nowhere. I want to learn how to control my body not how to beat somebody up.

So, not everybody who does martial arts is sort of a killer or something, though of course - and most unfortunately - there are those ones too.

Yep any psycho that learns JKD can go around hospitalising people, same as any psycho that learns Karate, Ju-jitsu, Muay Thai, Savate, Kung Fu, Capoera, Akido, Pakua, Tai Kwondo...etc.

I'm just glad that I live in a country where there are strict rules that govern the ownership of firearms in the public domain. No martial art in the world will save you from a psycho putting a bullet in your chest.

So can any psycho that watches football on a Saturday and gets drunk in the pub on a Saturday night.

Martial artists are no more inherently violent than any other section of humanity. And those that do have violent tendencies at least have a controlled environment in which to exercise them.

Now children, play nicely...
Personally, I'm an exponent of Kali, which is one of the arts from which JKD is derived. I learnt it, not so that I can go down the pub on a Saturday and beat some poor student senseless, but because I was the original student, and later on I ran pubs. There is obviously going to be practitioners in any subject that "use their power for evil" but to daub everyone that practices these arts (and they are arts) with the same brush is ludicrous and indicative of your small-minded Sun reading generalisations.
The vast majority of people that practice some of the lesser known arts in Western civilization do so out of a genuine desire to learn, not to be labelled as a psycho. And be a dear and look up what 'psycho' means - then learn how to use big words, preferably in their proper context.
