Talking Point - School Lessons

12 Conversations

Ah, school days. They're the best days of your life, or so the old saying goes. Not everyone has a fantastic time in the hallowed realms of academia, but in this week's talking point, we want to hear about your happy memories of your school lessons. Share with us:

  • Your favourite subject at school. Why were you good at it? What made you enjoy it so much?

  • Do you still have an interest in those subjects?

  • Did you find some subjects really easy yet struggled at others? Why do you think that was?

  • Have you pursued your favourite subjects as a career or a vocation? Or do you now earn a living from a subject you loathed when you were younger?

  • In hindsight, do you think any of your lessons were a complete waste of time?

  • Do you ever wish you could have been taught any different subjects at school? Would lessons in woodwork, cookery or how to complete a tax form been more useful than Spanish?

Send in your thoughts and memories right now!
