Great article! I really enjoyed it. All the information will be stored carefully to be reproduced in pub quizzes etc.
The acronym lends itself to improvement, I believe. I wonder if anyone else has thought of one?

TGCFAOQTCD is not an acronym, its a mnemonic
Acroynms, like Radar have to be pronounceable

vestboy, an easy mistake to make and it was unfair of the turner of egg timers or whatever he is called to pick you up on it like that. He knew what you meant!

In this modern world there is too much confustion between acroynms, mnemonic, and initialisations and soon the very barriers of language will fall !!
Besides people are being pedantic at me and I need to vent some nit picking elsewhere

I'm quite happy for you to point it out. No harm done. In fact if we're trading pedantry isn't a mnemonic the phrase that is formed rather than the list of letters?

If you're in the mood for writing mnemonics, a good mnemonic should have some connection with what it is you wish to remember. A good example is the one for memorising the solar system planets:
