does "the old moon " refer to the planet saturns influence in january ? iv'e read somewhere that saturn represents time and age in the sun sign capricorn

As I understand it the 'old' moon is the last sliver of a crescent visible before the moon disappears into the predawn brightness. It occurs one or two days before the new moon.
