A Conversation for Germany
Currywurst/ Pommes Mayo

I think something is really missing here. It´s the most bought fast food dish in Germany. Currywurst+PommesMayo which is a grilled sausage with warm curry-ketchup and fries with mayonaise. It is the first on the top ten list, doner kebab is second (which I prefer). Currywurst/ Pommes Mayo is the typical food a german would order in fast-food restaurant, it should not be missing in the germany-entry!

This is only true for some western parts of Germany especially around the "Ruhrgebiet". In other areas it's only one of many choices.

Hi there, Researcher 180422 :-) You seem to know a lot about the aborigines

Although the Currywurst/Pommes is eaten in whole Germany, it is right that the Currywurst is most popular in the "Ruhrgebiet". Nevertheless, it is just a matter of being a little bit more generally.
The saussage is the queen of fast food in Germany and every region has its own special saussage: Weisswurst, Currywurst, Thüringer Wurst, Rindswurst, grobe Bratwurst, feine Bratwurst, Käsewürstchen, Brühwurst, Frankfurter...

What the hell is a Nürnberger Wollwurst? I suppose, your mouth is covered with fluff while eating it. Does this sort of saussage really exist? (I have never been to Nürnberg...)
You say that there is no special meaning behind your nickname. I thought it had something to do with the verb "bosseln" of my dialect.
I am a new researcher and still learning how everything works in here. I have already found your Germania Connection. What is it all about? Is it only a list?

The Nürnberger Wollwurst does exist, and there's no fluff or something in it. They are about the size of your small finger, perhaps a bit longer. Normally you eat them as a six-pack, along with potatoes and, err... Sauerkraut. Whats 'baaah' with them is the mixture of spices which really doesn't meet my taste.
'Bosseln', yes I know. Knitting/glueing/fitting etc. things together - but I learned of that meaning only very much later. I'm still taking it as having no meaning at all
The GMC page itself is a list, more or less. But it's also a reference point if you're looking for h2g2 fellows from your area, and a thing to collect researchers like you, and lure them into places like the Berliner Bulettenbude, or the upcoming Carnival festivities

Is it me or is curry wurst not what it once was. Once upon a time you would get a nice sausage with a tasty curry ketchup. Now you seem to get a wiener with regular ketchup with a spinkle of curry powder - YUK!

This definately depends on where you buy it.
And if you order a curry wurst and get a wiener, this is plain and simple fraud.
