Age of Empires is an exceptional game, even seven years after its initial release.
Campaigns will keep you busy for quite some time, while providing you with a crash course in ancient history. But the game is far from over here.
Single player combat against computer foes always makes for an original game. My personal favorite though, is the multiplayer option. Even though my friends are hundreds of miles away, I still can march onto their cities in conquest.
Finally, the scenario builder keeps the game original. Numerous fans on the internet have contibuted their worlds for all to battle in.
An excellent site for fans of this game is located at

They have all sorts of tips, scenarios, and taunts (for the multiplayer games).
Happy conquering!
