The h2g2 Poem

A Rhyming Poet

I'm a rhyming poet see

I rhyme words like me and thee

I don't like poems that don't rhyme

Or poems that only rhyme half the time

My rhymes at times just don't make sense

Like rhyming that last bit with 'sitting on a fence'

Even though the rhyme was not quite right

I don't care as long as a rhyme was in sight

I've written rhyme in every line since the first

Just to drive the point about rhyming at it's worst

But at it's worst is better than no rhyme you see

Well in the world of rhyme it is to me

So just bear with me in my rhyming world

And enjoy my rhymes as they are unfurled

And remember my rhymes one and all

Like dancing at a rhyming ball

I'm happy to know my rhymes will never cease

And probably over time my rhyming will increase

Unless of course my rhymes come up against a word like silver...

... Oh b*gger!!! I did it again!!!
