A Conversation for Monument to Peter the Great, Moscow, Russia
Columbus

I heard from Russian friends when I went to look at it that it WAS actually the statue originally intended to be of Columbus - and it ended up in Moscow rebranded as Peter the Great after the american cities refused it. Has anyone else heard this or is it just an urban myth?

In fact, there's his Columbus statue, from his website. Equally vile!
