A Conversation for Catching Scheduled Transport

Add a Half Hour...

If your Metro trip means transfering to another bus (train, whatever) add an extra half hour to your anticipated travel time. Here in Houston I add half an hour for every transfer. I then tack on another half hour if I'm traveling outside of "rush" hour when transport is less frequent. That can make for up to 2 1/2 hours of travel time just to get to work and back.

It seems excessive but it works. If I'm very lucky I might have time to grab a kolache for breakfast. Mind you, I have to eat it at my desk as there's little time to actualy enjoy breakfast or actually prepare for the day.

Did I mention that I'm dissatisfied with the Metropolitan Transit Authority?
