Keeping to a healthy diet can buffer the long term effects of restricted rest/sleep time or enhanced caffeine use. I'm only speaking from my own long term experience. It seems to take a lot of high-grade fuel to burn the candle at both ends and maintain things like hair, teeth, bones, tastebuds, thought processes, etc. when you are 40 or 50 years down the road and you want at least another 20-30 years to hang around the planet. Seize this day and tomorrow, too.
