possumus minimus

practised by a life-form on a blue-orange planet in a little-visited galactic cul-de-sac discovered by trying to take a shortcut from Aldebaran to Gamma Crucis without incurring any tolls:

- which creature bears a passing resemblance to a terran species formerly known as a brontosaurus -

Due to the juxtaposition of an exceptionally slow neural response with an inordinately long spinal column, this creature is able to send itself a wakeup call by biting the tip of its own tail as it settles down to sleep.
