Gnomon - time to move on

This entry gives the impression that Gnosticism was stamped out in the 3rd or 4th century and forgotten about until 1945. In fact, it continued to be practised for many centuries after this, and the main beliefs of Gnosticism were never forgotten.

The Cathars (or Albigenses) were a French Gnostic religion who were branded by the Church of Rome as heretics and were slaughtered in the Albigensian Crusade as late as the 13th century.
