It might be worth mentioning that the alpha release of Mozilla will prolly be called Netscape 6. Great article tho...

Not quite - you're right that it's looking to be Netscape 6 not 5, but there is a difference between Netscape and Mozilla. Mozilla is entirely open source, and will not include proprietary components. It includes a 'hook' for proprietary cryptography modules, but these modules must be downloaded separately. Netscape meanwhile will be 'commercial' (though free (as in free beer)) and will include add-ons that could not be included in an open source product.

But I was under the impression that the alpha release of mozillia will be called "Netscape 6" I read that on a /. article a while back. I am going to try the latest build at home once my dsl line is up and stable. Might you have any suggestions for an open source advocate that does not have enough experiance to run a full distro of linux on his box? I am getting the wintel build to play with.

Nope. You understood wrong. Mozilla and Netscape will always be separate entities, just Netscape will be built on Mozilla's foundations.
Advice? Very simple - wait till 6:30 tonight, when the Netscape 6 beta will appear. It should be as simple to install on Windows as just about any other program
You chose a good time to start....
(If you /really/ want to try mozilla and not netscape that's simple enough, but you probably ought to wait for 'Milestone 15' - keep an eye on Mozilla.org and mozillazine.org for an announcement. It's been nearly two months since a milestone so this should be good!)

Can I just ask why you edited my articles before I edited yours yet mine are still not approved/rejected?!?
