Uhm, jelly? This might be a little confusing to some of my American friends. I think this entry is talking about Jello or generic gelatin, but can I be really sure? Jelly in America is what the rest of the world reffers to as jam.

Yes, this thing does seem to be suffering from a language barrier... the "jelly" is what we would call "gelatin" in the States, and the article would be talking about "jello shots." They don't necessarily have to be made of vodka, either.

I used to go to a pub in Waikiki called "Hernando's Hideaway" (better known as the "Bat Cave" to regulars) for Monday Night Football. A radio dj ran the festivities, one of which was the drink wheel. Every time a team scored, the drink wheel was spun, which was marked with certain drink specials which were available until the next score. One tiny sliver of the wheel indicated free jello shots for the house... and, since they'd already made the shots anyway, if it hadn't come up by the end of the game, it was selected manually (dj just pointed the wheel at it). It was a good place to enjoy the game and get absolutely ripped before 7 pm. smiley - winkeye Unfortunately, though, the Bat Cave is gone forever. smiley - sadface

I was pretty sure that was the case.

Bummer about that place. Sounds like fun.

My version of PGGB's uses gin jello shots. Wierd, since the drink is kind of clumpy. Really strong, though.

Well, if Jelly is meant as that awful gelatine desert then that's fine as the word Jelly is hyperlinked to the Jelly article. If it is meant as jam, then this is a problem I did not forsee and it should be corrected else poor misguided researchers might try eating spiked jam smiley - smiley.

That might be interesting in itself.

Another cool thing to try in a jelly is an alcopop like Hooch or Two Dogs. Bung a couple of bottles of the lemonade flavour into a Tangerine jelly for a fizzy killer.
