A Conversation for Insect Repellent
Skin-So-Soft

Avon sells something called skin-so-soft. It was originally created as a moisturizer, but also had the added effect of repelling critters on the beach. It has no harsh chemicals, and can be used on children.

This stuff (Skin-so-soft) really does work - at least for me. But now they have combined it with a sunscreen, which is really handy. I've used it while traveling in Central America. The only complaint I have is the smell. Another good thing to use is something called Permethrin. DON'T use it on your body (read & follow the directions carefully.) It's primarily used on clothing, but I also spray all my luggage, inside & out, with it so I don't bring back any free-loading critters.
