If you are in Düsseldorf near the haven or the parliament and you are hungry, go to the "lorreto grill". there you can asiatic, german, greek kind of food. the poeple who makes the food are really friendly and the pommes, large size, are really tasty.

Ha! You don't work at WestLB, do you? Or maybe MAGS? Or in the Stadttor?
I know the Loretto very well, it was our "local" for quick food when working late into the night, and it's by far the best of the takeaways we tried - and as you say, the staff are very friendly.
Also, a friend of mine lived in the apartment above the Loretto Grill for a few months - handy for work, but the constant smell of the food must have driven him mad!
I'd say the Loretto is good if you're there and you have to eat - but not worth making a special trip for

When near Burgplatz (the big place where the "Schlossturm" is in the middle) you can find very cheap asian food at a small dirty looking booth at the "Kurze Strasse". Everything there is very simple, but it tastes ok and the prices are really low.
