The h2g2 Poem

1 Conversation

To Psycorp

Oh dear friend please look at this

Something has gone amiss

A critic wants a rhyming thing

Well I hope an apology he will bring

He said a poem wasn't right

If the rhyme went out of sight

It is a thing now I say to you

If you could write better please come do

A contest I shall not turn down

I shall not even bring a frown

So let the readers come decide

If constant rhymes they want I shan't chide

Come now friend and critic true

I know this poem should appeal to you

A thing is not all it seems

If the poet thus it deems

To put a message in there rhyme

Or just to finish a verse in time

Deadlines never bother me

But a challenge is something new you see

Iambic pentameters are easy to do

If such things appeal to you

So come write a verse a merry quip

Something that will roll and dip

For it bothers this poet not

If without a rhyme she is caught

Poems were once a jolly thing

Readers would with laughter ring

But if unsatisfied with this Rhyme you are

I am sure that you need not go far

To prove that things have not gone amiss

Unless dear Psycorp your taking the ****
