I saw a show last night on TV talking about all the different things Issac Newton studied and invented during his lifetime. I was amazed! I had no idea that he had invented the reflective telescope. the TV show described his notes in which he said he conducted experiments upon his own body(his eyes) to determine the flaws in optics in conventional telescopes hence the need for a telescope that used a mirror instead of lenses.
One of the scientists talking about Newton described him as a mind that comes along once every 500 years, I'd have to agree
