The h2g2 Poem

One Two One

One who sees you standing lonely

amidst the bustle of the crowd.
One who calls your name in greeting,

but careful not too loud.
One who glances at you shyly,

then transfixes with his gaze.
One who steps from cool dim shadows,

causing flushing cheeks to blaze.
One who fears not to make contact,

gently holds your hand in his.
One who knows not where you came from,

only seeing what now is.
One who whispers close a secret,

just for you he will impart.
One who promises eternity

as the place he'll keep your heart.
One whose kisses can't belie

the growing passion of this feeling.
One whose tender soft caresses

bring you comfort and such healing.
One who senses that the distance

engendered from being two,
Can be bridged by true devotion

when he puts his trust in you.
